Take a trip to Foxdale to visit the Ard Jerkyll animal sanctuary run by the Manx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The charity runs a haven for sick, injured or unwanted animals of all shapes and sizes - and there's always something going on at the busy facility which is proving increasingly popular with parents looking for something a bit different from a family day out.
Among a number of activities, visitors can take dogs for a walk, view the cats currently staying and sometimes even watch a rescued seal at play in their special enclosure!
And after you've taken a good look around and learned about all the great work done by the volunteers, you can enjoy some of the terrific food and homemade cakes on offer at the cafe.
