Isle of Man TT
The one event which makes the Isle of Man recognisable throughout the world is the Tourist Trophy, or TT as it is best known, held during the first week in June each year when the Island comes alive with hordes of bikers arriving to watch their heroes.
For more than 100 years man and machine have been pitting their wits against Manx roads in a bid to claim the greatest prize in motorcycle road racing.
And the popularity of the iconic event is certainly not waning after all this time with a new generation of riders bidding to make motorcycle history on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.

If you'd like to visit the Isle of Man TT, then Groudle Glen Cottages offers a terrific location from which to base your stay.
Convenient enough for the bright lights of Douglas, Groudle is also well situated for a trip north to Ramsey to take in the racing, or perhaps to make the journey to Creg-ny-Baa to watch the riders as they make their descent off Snaefell and head towards the TT Grandstand.
