Eating Out Close By
You don't have to travel far from Groudle Glen Cottages to find a good selection of places to eat.
On your door step, a short walk towards Onchan, you'll find Edward's restaurant at King Edward Bay Golf Club, where you can enjoy bistro-style cuisine in stylish but casual surroundings.
A bit further, in the same direction there is a new and exciting eating and drinking venue located in Onchan Park, The Views, only a few minutes walk from the cottages. Open 6 days a week for lunches and evening meals, traditional Sunday Lunch, ample parking and great views.
Also close by, up the road in Onchan is the Liverpool Arms, a traditional pub selling home-cooked food for all the family.
Heading a little further south, along the sea front you will find local pubs and Restaurants like the Terminus Tavern, The Queens who offer a good variety of pub food.
A longer trip in the opposite direction from the cottages takes you to Laxey, a pictureseque former mining village. You can stop off at Brown's Restaurant - in the appropriately-named Ham and Egg Terrace! - for a great selection of dishes throughout the day. Meanwhile, if you're fond of Italian food then La Mona Lisa, near Laxey Harbour, is a friendly, intimate establishment full of character and complete with superb menu with everything prepared on the premises.
